IT consulting done properly
The IT advice industry has largely taken a helpdesk or break/fix approach to working with clients. At Minitech, we think there's a better way.
We approach our work the same way any good professional does — we discover the scope of what needs doing, make a high-level plan, and provide ongoing support alongside planned projects to move you from where you are to where you want to be.
Many clients have no idea how much their IT could be doing for them. We always start from the beginning — checking your security, basic functionality and pain points — but we also take the time to imagine how your business could work better with the right tools. That's where things get interesting.
We start with a plan, not a helpdesk
Every engagement begins with a roadmap. We scope the work, agree on priorities, and keep you informed at every stage — no surprises.
We build confidence, not dependency
We train your team to handle the basics themselves. The goal is a team that feels in control of their technology — not one that panics every time something goes wrong.
We stay proactive
We hold weekly internal meetings to brainstorm how we can help each client. We ask your team directly for feedback. We actively bring opportunities to your attention rather than waiting to be asked.
THE TEAM
Leo Moloney-Geany
Director & Solutions Architect
Leo brings an unusual combination of experience to Minitech — a background in financial advice (both in the UK and New Zealand) combined with deep technical expertise across the Microsoft ecosystem, certified from Fundamentals through to Solution Architect.
That financial services background isn't just history. It's why Minitech works so extensively with financial advisers, accountants and lawyers — Leo understands the compliance environment, the client relationships, and the day-to-day operational pressures of these businesses from the inside.
Having also worked in IT in Japan and the UK, Leo has seen the good, the bad and the ugly of the industry — and built Minitech around the parts worth replicating.
Our name and logo were inspired by Aesop's fable of the Mouse and the Lion. The moral? You don't need a big corporate with expensive offerings to get personalised, effective solutions. Sometimes the simplest solution is the most effective — and the right partner is simply the one who takes the time to understand what you actually need.
Your IT concerns might feel significant.
Minitech is exactly the right size and fit to address them all.
Small solutions for big problems
